orencia
I haven’t sorry but just to say good luck and I am due to start my injection/click pen on Thursday. I understand it’s not usually a fast worker so patience could be needed but by 12-16 weeks it should have made a very noticeable difference. 🙏🏻 xx
Hi, I was on Orencia for five years and it was a wonder drug for me. Worked fairly quickly, within weeks. Only side effect I had was the recurrence of migraines. My consultant agreed I could take fortnightly injections instead of weekly as I am petite and this resolved the migraines. Good luck
Hi, I’ve been on it for about 2 years. I always have it on a Friday night on a Saturday I always feel off and tired but nothing specific but back to normal the next day. It’s not working for me as well now so I have been accepted to start JAK inhibitors so just waiting now. I hope that you respond well to it. Good luck xxx
I have been on Orencia for some months now. I have had no side effects and it worked 8th weekly injection in. I have had serious side effects from other biologics and RA medicines so pleased it has worked so well for me so far without any need from other pain relief. Good luck.
Sorry I can’t offer any help on side effects as orencia isn’t a med I’ve tried. I hope the side effects diminish after a few more weeks and you find it worth the initial feeling rough. I’m hoping that the mtx hangover I get for a whole day after injecting subsides too but in my case it’s worth losing a day for now anyway as my RA is starting to calm down a bit.
It's always worth putting the name of the medication and its generic name (abatacept) in the search box to find previous posts.
