I have them in bunches--one goes, another comes. Doctors & dentists are clueless. The many allergy tests I've taken show negative. Nothing I've tried has helped. Does anyone have this problem and maybe a solution? I'd so appreciate any advice!

constant canker sores for 2 years
Often people with Celiac get mouth ulcers when gluten is consumed. Don't know if that helps though.
My husband and sons go through the same thing . Seen ever man and his dog tried every kind of meds. We have found if we get them at the very start and put liquorice pellets directly on them and leave it there for as long as possible it stops them developing any further. Not saying it’s a cure but helps my lot . My husband has ulcerative colitis and we monitor our sons just incase as it’s a known symptom of UC.
Use to get them all the time then took lysine and they went always used TCP as well x
Feel for you. I’m Suffering with them now had them for weeks been told to increase my folic acid one a day also putting Zovirax on. Hope they clear soon.
I developed these in my month 12 months ago. Initially I was told to use Diflam to help them heal and clear and it did but they kept coming back.
Eventually I was told I had developed dry mouth which unfortunately there isn't a cure too. To try and generate saliva to stop the sores occuring, I was given some products (none of which helped) and also told to keep well hydrated and perhaps chew gum (although carefully or otherwise I'd develop a sore jaw from "chewing the cud").
I don't get the sores too much anymore but when I do I still use the Diflam.
Don't know if that's any help !
Maybe increase your folic acid to every day except Mtx day? I got mouth sores before I did that.
Have they ever been swabbed?
Are you on sulphasalazine by any chance? I had horrid mouth sores on that and had to come off it.
I had oral lichen planus for a few years, then I did an elimination diet & stopping yogurt made them go away in one day.
Years ago (before my RA) I used to get canker sores all the time and my doctors and dentists were stumped as well. I was miserable. I had been taking a multivitamin (for general supplementation) at that time that had extra Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) in it. When I inadvertently ran out and quit taking it for a week, I suddenly had no sores. To this day, if I over-do it on citrus fruits/juices, I get terrible cankers again. Probably just a personal sensitivity but could happen to others as well.
Thanks for that 👍
My husband had giant and numerous canker sores for decades until he stopped consuming milk and ice cream several times a week. He now does not drink milk ever and had ice cream only a couple times a month. No more canker sores!
My sister is most definitely gluten sensitive though tests also came back negative. Celiac tests only check for about 3 kinds but there are at least 12! After a month gluten free she was a whole new person and continued to get better with time.
I'd quit dairy for a month first. (It takes a week for dairy proteins to leave your body.) Then try gluten free next. Good luck!
