If you have doubts get a second professional opinion. When it comes to your son's health a post from an online forum may give you a starting point but a doctor's advice should be more important.

Definitely get a 2nd opinion! I had a transplant and have both of my native kidneys. Some recipients do have a problem with their transplant not working right away. How long ago was the transplant? Is he still in the hospital? Was he on dialysis before his transplant? Most transplant centers I know, would be giving him meds trying to get his "new" kidney to start working.
