Good Morning ☀️ Beautiful day here today. I am with my brother up to the surgical center and he is having his nerves in his left knee frozen. He has this knee replacement twice last time a year ago. Has had pain since so this is the next step 🙏. Just received letter denying my prescription for migraines 😖 On to the next step. Still doing the Nurtec as needed. Have a great day everyone 🙏👍🏼😉

That cartoon reminds me of my last dog. Now, he'd always slept with me, but he also slept anywhere without showing a preference. I bought myself a lovely king-sized fleece blanket, the first I'd ever had, and he stole it! I took it back, spread it across the bed...and he took it again. I eventually gave up, and he'd drag it all around the house to lay on. It was the only "toy" that he ever became attached to.

I love the cartoon! So sorry about the denial, but I'm sure your Dr. can/will appeal the insurance company's decision. After all, he is the one who wrote the prescription, and the Insurance company only job is to approve it for your use. If it is the only thing that helps with your migraine pain management, they need to know that, accept it, approve coverage and move on.

Most newer drugs are automatically denied. The next step is for your dr to file an appeal or a prior authorization. Does your insurance require that you try and "fail" on several older, cheaper meds first before they will approve this one? That's how it usually works. So get the others filled, after a couple weeks say that they fail to help, and soon you will make it up the list to the one that actually helps you. Hopefully this might work. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. Good luck.
