Cold virus on ocrevus

Been on ocrevus less than a month and already caught a cold. Should I call my Neuro or just see my GP? My GP will write me a script for an antibiotic just in case it’s not viral. Heard that upper respiratory viruses are each up catch on ocrevus.

I would just call your gp. I had my first cold right before New Year’s but it was pretty mild. My other family members who passed it on to me got it much worse. I drank a LOT of water and took an OTC to sleep and I got better in a few days. Get well soon!

That’s so good to hear. I’ll drink lots of water too and luckily I have the day off due to the holiday to sleep it off

Zinc has been shown to shorten the course of colds. I prefer Cold Ease to Zicam, tastes better 😁

I think the zicam made me nauseous. Have been taking zinc . Thank you

I don't like Zicam either. The Cold Ease lozenges are way better and also have zinc.

Thank you. I have taken zicam , but c, extra zinc,am drinking lots of fluids but also just got nauseous and threw up. My husband thinks it’s from coughing so much - but I’m likely going to either make a trip to the er today if i throw up again -bc the iv of liquids won’t hurt or I’m going to try and get in with GP later this week if I’m otherwise just having cold symptoms.
