For a few months now I have been having an intense itch ALL over my body from head to toe. Comes and goes all day the only thing that helps is antihistamines. I haven't changed washing powder or antything.

Thyroid is ok.

What is it!!? It's too much to live with.

Oh dear, awful for you. Have you seen or had a phone consultation with your GP? Or been referred to a neurologist? Or if there is an accompanying rash, to a dermatologist?

I have an appointment on the 11th of march. Hope the doctor can help. It's very distressing this itch x

Could it be something you're eating or using on your body such as shower gel ?

I haven't changed my diet or my shower gel. I just don't know what it is! Perhaps I've grown allergic to something

Dear Lilianxious,

it IS possible to 'become' Allergic to Things, even those that you have 'Used For Years'..... notwithstanding a Change in THEIR Formulation- watch out for 'New' 'Improved' 'Reformulated' and so on.

I would see, your own 'Team' about this, as the answer could- but may, very well not be- Complex... if you are unlucky. A friend, from long ago now, used to get psorisis VERY badly and in 'Akward Places' too. Her situation was a 'Difficult' one but she DID get, can I say 'Fairly Good Relief', after some investigation.

Beyond this there are Many creams/ emoliants/ balms/ oils etc, that you can try.... Some, of which, Might WORK for you. Perhaps a Chat with your Dermy?

Can you let 'us' know How You Get On please Lilian? Sending you our

Very Best Wishes

AndrewT

Need to see a doc for proper diagnosis. In the meantime try Eurax cream. This is what I use on my super itchy psoriasis.
