Success rate of getting rid of acne by oral antibiotics is poor. Besides it is no good for our health in general. Benzoyl peroxide is not a good topical solution either. The best solution is: Use twice Erythromycin Topical Lotion/Gel for two months - no oral antibiotics is necessary.

I've used both of these and found them effective. You have to keep at it for a few weeks though, for the acne to calm down properly. The skin may be red at first but gets used to the BP. Oral erythromycin was also effective.
