Skin on feet turn red

i do not know what cause this. doctor said immunity problem bring it up.

My partner gets something like this on his feet. It used to be pretty chronic for him, especially in the warm weather but he manages to keep it relatively under control by not eating (much) gluten. He still has a bit of a rash here and there but he isn't hideously red and itchy and miserable like he was before. He used to calm it down with E45 or similar but before changing his diet, nothing actually reduced the problem. It was getting worse over time.
