Want to use it as I have a bad flare-up just for 3 days. It's elocon if that matters.

That's when it's supposed to be used most. :)

Hi Qwerty,

The recommendations are that it's fine to use in the short-term, but should not be used for more than 5 days if being applied to the face.

NHS Choices: Elocon nhs.uk/medicine-guides/page... skin conditions&medicine=Elocon&preparation=Elocon 0.1% cream

I would use it in this situation! As a general rule I try to use the lowest potency that i can get away with to get back to a state that regular emollient use will pretty much keep skin OK. Good luck!
