SNRIs for fibro treatment

I've discovered that taking a SNRI interferes with the effectiveness of a SSRI. I have been taking a SSRI 50 mg (antidepressant) for manic depression (now known as bipolar) for over 30 years. It keeps me sane. My doctor recently prescribed 4 mg of Amitripiliyn for insomnia. It didn't do anything for my insomnia, but I noticed it to ok the edge off my fibromyalgia pain. Unfortunately, I started to experience depression symptoms as well. So I doubled the amount of my antidepressant. After a couple of months, I decided I didn't like how I felt mentally, so I gave up the amitriptyline. Even if I was willing to put up with the effectiveness I'd have to take a lot more than 4 mg. When I looked up amitriptyline on the web I found it is an SNRI. So are the other two meds originally prescribed for fibro. I would rather be in pain than insane.
