The thing that made the difference to me and my fibromyalgia was learning to use my body better.

I've written details here:

I'm more than happy to answer questions!

Thanks for reading! It's hard to get people to consider the anatomy and how they use their body (their posture/body positioning), never mind considering it might be misusage, over-stressed muscles and physical damage that causes the symptoms of fibromyalgia (considering the physical state of the whole body rather than looking for biochemical changes or nerve dysfunctions).

Working from Base-Line, pelvic floor Base, rectus abdominis Line is the key to feeling how to heal. The pelvic floor is the base of the torso that should be strong and secure. The rectus abdominis from pelvis to chest, two stacks of panels of muscles that should activate in sequence - think stronger and longer with every in-breath.

Base-Line muscles in more detail: baselinehealing.com/techniq...

The rectus abdominis muscles are located either side of the linea alba - a strip of connective tissue on the body's midline. The linea alba should be fully extended and able to form a straight line ( be in alignment). The linea alba connects 3 of our midline markers for alignment: the pubic symphysis of the pelvis, the navel and the xiphoid process of the sternum.

Finding these midline markers (touching them) will increase awareness of their relative positioning - can you feel them align as you breath with your Base-Line? Can your OH?

It takes time to learn to use your body correctly - it was 3 months of Pilates (taking it very slow and easy, really focusing on my breathing and building the connection between body and mind whilst doing the simplest exercises at the lowest level) before I really felt how my body should work. It's been a long slog since, slowly regaining my range of movement and I released the physical restrictions ("stored trauma") and associated pain.

I'm more than happy to answer questions or discuss anything so please get in touch.

I feel better than I ever have done before - all by learning to use the 5 main muscles of movement.
