I don't know if it's common. I haven't experienced that exactly, but a couple years ago I did have a reaction to the flu shot, which included flu symptoms like body aches, runny nose and just feeling like I was "coming down with something." Fortunately, it only lasted a few hours. I suppose most anything that challenges your body could lead to a flare, or it might just be a coincidence & you would have had the flare anyway. I have been trying to figure out what triggers my flares--weather? overdoing it? voodoo? I don't know, I just try to deal with them when they happen. Hope yours quiets down soon!

I agree with the reply from syltownsend. After having the flu shot this year,

I had three days of aches and flu symptoms, but not as severe as a case of

real flu. I hope you are feeling better now .

I received the Flu Shot and the pneumonia shot Prevnar 13 for pneumonia this year and have had no problems at all. I have fibromyalgia and have had no worsening in my symptoms. Both vaccines are dead viruses and should cause no symptoms of flu.
