Easier to dismiss me when I am mentally ill

My aunt is mad at my brother and I right now. We made a choice she did not agree with, now she's not talking to us. My brother is thinking maybe her phone needs to be replaced. I tell him no she's mad at us. He is thinking it's the paranoia talking because why would she simply not talk to us? Well maybe the last time she said something I did not like, I made her cry and you got pissed at me. I mean it's okay for people to upset me, but when I spread the love, I am the bad guy suddenly.

It is frustrating to be ignored often because the mental illness gives others the excuse they need to dismiss me.
