I downloaded this app hoping that i can find people that are going through the same thing as i am, self harm.
I just wanna talk to someone and figure a way out of this together. I tried to get better alone and sometimes I succeed but it would be nice to be able to talk to someone about it

Hi, it’s strange that when I actually wanna talk i have no words to express anything
So I’ll try to tell you what’s going on, for like a decade now I’ve been self harming one way or another. Last year i went through a very stressful period so that made it worse, but now I’m at the stage where I haven’t done anything for 5 months. When i wrote my post i was feeling too low and just wanted to do it but I didn’t. How long does it take for this to stop?
Motivating yourself is very hard especially if you are not in a good place. Find the root cause of your despair ;if it is depression, talk to someone maybe even if it is in this forum. Self harm is different for each person when I used to do it, it was because I was depressed and wanted to feel something. Knew it was wrong and found help in a church group. One step at a time. It's like when I have to clean up... Hate doing it so small steps maybe the bathroom today the dining area tomorrow etc. Take your problems split it into small sections and deal with each. Watch movies, listen to positive messages like Ted talks, listen to music, don't know your gender but be Beyonce sing loudly and dance in your kitchen. Be mindful to be happy. Do something to make yourself smile. Write it in your calendar.. Go for a walk. Small steps. Your happiness is with you. You control it. I was at a place where I couldn't look myself in the mirror, now I think I am the prettiest thing ( really I'm not, but I fake it). I have absolutely zero confidence but have learned to fake it. Look yourself in the mirror and smile. Come and rant in this forum.
