Hi

I don't know if this is true or not and I think it probably depends on the severity but the doctor once said to me that depression could lift without medication but that OCD couldn't.

In my case I did finally give into taking meds because of ocd.

Not that I am aware of, I take medication to help "treat" my OCD, I believe that there is no cure for that. But with medication and therapy together is a great help towards getting your life back again. This has worked for me in the past but I am prone to relapse and a year after my last spell at Springfield University Hospital I had another relapse and I'm on their waiting list for re-admission.
