Cheers dude.as it happened I had a wonderful night.i must have got about an hours sleep.may be two but omg my dreams are getting for ever more detailed and I don’t even know if I’m awake or not.

I’ve not slept properly for about 2 1/2 yrs.right at the beginning of the long haul of trying to get a new hip.such great chats to the physio was well sir I think it’s all in your head.have some cbt.

Well sir I can’t possibly give you another steroid injection just in case it gets infected and you sue me and I lose my job.

My lovely reply was but I’m afraid to say mr clinical lead I think you could be well past your sell by date regarding the limited knowledge of the human body.

I got what I wanted a foot long injection right in to the groin under X-ray with a die added then an mri scan.

Voila 10mm bone wear in the hip a tear in the cartilage plus 4 bone spikes and 3 benign tumours.

The physio was very evasive as to what was wrong but said ok your old enough for a new hip.great 49 yrs of age.

Any way had op done some 6 months ago and oh wow how it’s so nice to have virtually no pain.

Now I’ve just got to try and get a straight 7-8 hrs sleep.

Yup full dose of 45 mg mirtazapine but feel totally out of it the next day.

I’ve a heart problem as well so that means I could only have full dose of mirtazapine for a week.

I guess I’ve just got to get out of the habit of when I didn’t sleep while I was waiting for a new hip.

As I keep saying to the docs,I’ve no problem falling asleep,it’s just staying asleep.

Any way oops sorry for the round about the houses story but having adhd doesn’t exactly help.

Just to say I don’t usually criticise the nhs but at the moment there all doing a splendid job and thanks for being there when we really need you
