I don’t feel any different today, I feel numb and devoid of feelings. I actually had a brief moment of happiness when I opened up my new phone. So that was nice but unfortunately the same old depressive feelings returned. I just feel like lying in bed all day. I have no ambition for my hobbies, anytime I try to do them ex. Watch tv play games watch my favorite show, I ultimately can’t concentrate on them and lose interest quickly. This sucks because I can’t occupy my time like I could when I was in a right state of mind. In the right state of mind I enjoy my games, favorite show such as the classic doctor who series, things like that. I don’t feel anything today. But one thing came to mind is knowing that I am 18 if things get really bad I would be sent to the adult psychiatric unit of the hospital. I am just really depressed and don’t feel like doing much.

Just turned 18 today
Well I for one want to wish you a VERY HAPPY 18th Birthday!!!
It is sad to hear what you are saying on such a special day. We do understand that you have been struggling with your depressive thoughts for sometime, do ask your doctors for more help. Is there a friend or family member that you can call or meet up with to have a celebration, even if it's putting a candle in a cupcake and a cup of coffee! This is a milestone in your young life and you are worth marking this special day. Life can be tough, and throws us all curve balls. But your life is worth living, you are important and valuable and have significance. This is not meant to sound trite, but as the old time song says, 'Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start all over again'! Put on some happy music or watch a comedy movie with a loved one, friend and or family. You are at the start of your life and it can be a wonderful adventure if you give it and yourself a chance.
Take care,
Best wishes,

Happy 18th Birthday Imaginator!
Many happy returns of the day...and, it's ok if you do not feel like celebrating...I didn't either, when I turned 18. There was too much to worry about, with exams and end of the year tests... Lots of folks find they are in the middle of something, when these milestone birthdays occur...that's ok. There will be other birthdays & in our family, a birthday can last all year...so, celebrate when you are ready. :>)
It sounds like you are have had these symptoms, before, and I think it's a good thing to get tested and get some professional diagnoses. It's not about the "having to go" and get these things done, more than it is about getting help to see what's up and what can be done to assist you along your way.
Keep us posted, get as much rest as you can manage & stay the course...let us know what you find out when you get your appt. & let us know if we can help you. Blessings, always!
