My pacemaker was fitted December 2015 and since then to me it doesn’t seem to be working properly I’m tired no energy gone off my food .ive been to the hospital had checks everything seems ok but I’m listless I have good days and bad days. Before the pacemaker was fitted I was reasonably ok my arthritis wasn’t painful despite having spinal stenosis now two years on I feel horrible. The doctor won’t increase my gaberpentin he says excercise will help but my left hip hurts,to be truthful I’m frightened to keep calling him out . I can’t sleep my neck hurts and generally I hurt my shoulders hurt I need help, my wife says come on your be ok but I’m not bless her she looks after me but now I’ve come to the end I’m in so much pain my gaberpentine don’t seem to do much what should I do I can’t walk properly I’ve ahernia .i just can’t cope any more I’m 72.

Hello there, it seems to me that you have become depressed, as some of your symptoms seem to fit with this. How is your sleep pattern and concentration.

You say that things have changed since you have the pacemaker so this may be the trigger. It may be that you feel frightened and vulnerable due to your physical health. This can happen.

If this seems plausible you can see your GP who may start you on an antidepressant to help. You could look to getting help in the form of counselling - your GP can refer you, or you can find one near to you. Or both counselling and antidepressant. It sounds like repeat physical health checks may be ok. If you have had a huge health scare then this is what I think

You are and will be ok, you may just need some support with how this has affected you emotionally. See what you think xxx
