I've just turned 30. When my brother was 4 years old he was circumcised due to difficulty retracting his foreskin. Even though I had similar difficulties I never reported this to my parents as I saw how much pain he had been in.
My sex life in my 20s was very disastisfying, probably due to a of lack of sensitivity, as, at this stage, I can't get my foreskin to come back at all (also making it impossible to clean my penis which makes it itch sometimes.) I have never had an orgasm from penetrative sex or oral sex.
I went to a urologist and after examining me he recommended circumcision, although he said it wasn't essential as I had no health problems resulting from it. He said that before he did the operation he wanted to talk with me at length about the pros and cons so I understood all aspects of it. He said he couldn't guarente that my problems with reaching orgasm would automatically be fixed by the operation. Unfortunately due to anxiety I wasn't able to have this conversation with him on the day of my examination. To go back to him would cost me £150 which I don't want to spend on what basically would amount to a chat. I think the main cons I've read about seem to be that I would loose sensitivity as my exposed penis would be constantly rubbing off my trousers and I'd lose nerve endings - but as I've never been able to experience much in terms of sensitivity anyway I think the only way is probably up.
Any and all experiences, pros and cons and opinions on this topic are welcome.

I was circumcised a little over 3 weeks ago and the head is still very sensitive but Im almost fully back to full motion again as the first week moving around with underwear on was very uncomfortable (but not painful)
I don't know how sex or masturbation is after because you're supposed to wait atleast 6 weeks before masturbating or having sex.
Other than it being extremely sensitive in the beginning which made it hard to move around the first week or the not being able to masturbate I haven't noticed anything long term and my phimosis was so bad that just about no of my glands were exposed so I think that sex will be better but I don't know yet.
(I think you should know that studies show that if you don't clean your penis enough you're more likely to get cancer but if your Dr said you didn't need the op for medical I would trust him)
The fact that you cannot retract your foreskin and cannot clean it can cause problems in the future even though not it does not have any immediate dangers.
As for the sensitivity, circumcised men do have a lower sensitivity (due to keratinization as the penis head adjust to the lack of foreskin covering it) than uncircumcised men that do not have issues with their foreskin, phimosis. However as you said yourself your sensitivity is low anyway as the head never leaves the protective cover of the foreskin son on that end you would have nothing to lose, just be ready for your penis glans to be super sensitive after circumcision as it will be exposed to surfaces that it has never been exposed to before without the cover of the foreskin. It will take some weeks for it to settle and maybe a few months before its fully adjusted.
If I were you I would not wait with the circumcision for something to go wrong and then you needing it, as with your own words your sexual life with the foreskin isn't stellar.
Having it done sooner than later will enable you to enjoy sex sooner, plus you will be able to clean yourself properly and have lesser chances of getting an infection etc, causing said problems that could call for a circumcision later in life.
The decision is ultimately up to you. There is clearly difference in opinion between circumcised men and uncircumcised men between which is better, which is ultimately a subjective opinion as everyone might feel differently. However, there is no question, in my mind, which one is better when you need a circumcision. Being circumcised like millions of men and living perfectly fine with it, or having phimosis, always worrying about it not being healthy, good looking and potentially dangerous.
No one can make the decision for you, but I am glad I did mine and regret not having done it sooner.
Hi there, i am not circumcised but I permanently retract my foreskin so get the feeling a cut penis would get, for me i love the sensation of it rubbing in my pants because you know its there whereas before you cant feel much through the foreskin. The main drawback will be the sensetivity because the glans will constantly be exposed and will toughen up so it wont be as sensetive as before, my penis has lost some sensetivity but i like this because before i had hyper sensetivity than meant even toutching it was really painful, you still get the same orgasms and it is almost erotic to some people, if you do go for the circ please keep us informed on how it goes as I myself are considering a full circumcision to remove the foreskin which can sometimes be hard to retract and painful like yours, thanks colin
You know that is exactly what I did for almost a full year before my circumcision.
After the circumcision I wondered why I waited so long to have the operation.
Without a doubt it was one of my better decisions. Forget all the nonsense about sensitivity. Another bonus is that most women if they are totally honest prefer the look and feel of a man who has been circumcised.

Pulling your foreskin back is not the same feeling as being circumcised you may think it is but it feels completely different to just pulling your foreskin back.
Pros are it’s cleaner and prevents sti’s/stds/hiv and other penis related issues.
Cons are less sensitive during sexual intercourse, the first weeks recovery is horrific, sensitive to begin with.
With all due respect, this just isn’t true. Circumcision is so beneficial. I am circumcised and I love it. I was the only circumcised boy in my year at school and I loved the individuality of it. I elected to be circumcised again when I was 19 in order to make it really tight and also to have my frenulum removed. There was no pain after the operation. Masturbation requires no lubrication even though I have no skin movement. There is increased sensitivity where my frenulum used to be. In short, I feel incredibly privileged to be circumcised which is why my wife and I have decided to have both of our sons circumcised. It is so beneficial in so many ways.
Excellent. Our boys feel privileged too. We are naturists and it is so good to see them at camp completely unembarrassed about their circumcised penises being seen.
(Incidentally, I was 20 when I had my 2nd circumcision, not 19 as stated above. Must have been late at night when posting that!)
