Underwear Irritating Pee Hole - Nearly 6 Weeks Post-Circumcision

Hi all, quick question to the wider crowd of circumcised males who had the op later in life.

I'm now nearly 6 weeks since the op. So, I wear briefs most days now having been able to make the leap to underwear nicely at the beginning of week 5. Every now and then it can feel a bit sensitive, but is largely fine.

However, I've noticed sometimes I can feel a bit bunched up in the tighter briefs (knowing I need to get used to them over time) and sometimes that causes my pee hole to get a bit red and irritated. As soon as I adjust myself the redness fades... so just thinking that it's my plonker having to get used to new feelings/underwear/exposing, etc. Still peeing fine, no burning sensations or anything like that. Just tingles every now and then.

Anyone else experienced similar?

hiya, I too had a circumcision later in life at age 60, (due to a tight foreskin) it’s been a year now and so glad I had it done, recovery took a fair while, like you I found irritation when wearing underwear but found the best one are seamless tight boxers as the seems on normal ones rubbed my pee hole, hope this helps and good luck

Thanks for the reply - I'm wearing seamless tight briefs, almost microfibre-like. Definitely better than the ones with seams I tried first! I feel like if the redness goes away when I adjust myself then not to worry too much, and just chalk it up to getting used to new sensations and contact.

I was circumcised at 40 - lifelong phimosis and preputial adhesions. I'm amazed at how well the wounds on my tip have healed (lovely scars now) and everything is beginning to settle down. The human body is amazing - it's taken less than 6 weeks for things to calm down so much - I know there's still healing to go, but it's amazing anyway.

Yes sounds familiar. After being covered by the foreskin for years, my peehole was a bit tender or red sometimes. I found wearing briefs with a bigger pouch helped as didn't seem to rub so much. It will settle down though

Thank you for the reply - it's always a relief to get a nod from someone who's experienced the same thing. Good plan - I was thinking the same - maybe my briefs are just slightly too small. LOL

Yes I never did like things to be squashed and even less so now that I'm cut. Maybe try a different style see how you get on

Yeah, sounds like a plan. I like the micofibre fabric... but I think I'll play with different styles.

Yes microfibre is nice and soft although I prefer pure cotton. Anything with a raised seam irritated though and sometimes it's difficult to tell if they're sold in a packet
