Knot after circumcision

Hello! I was circumcised almost 2 weeks ago. A rough first week but overall healing has gone well and no infection. I had balloon like swelling in the area between the stitch and the head on either side of the frenulum but that has gone down. The right side is pretty much flat now but the left side is still swollen and has a hardish knot. Has anyone else experienced this? And will this go down and be normal. Thanks!

Hey Andrew. I'd say with no infection this is ok. It's swelling, which doesn't always go down evenly. Normally you'd know if something was wrong if there was unusual pain or infection. Are your stitches dissolving ones?

Thanks for the response! Yes they are dissolving stitches. I feel as though they are starting that process. I am hoping that will allow that swelling to go down even more.

I found that dipping in a glass of salt water helped to wash away left over stitch material. Don't be tempted to pick or pull at them.

Oh don’t worry about that. I can’t stand to touch them. Haha. Will have to try the salt water!
