I got my surgery done on Nov 8th. My scarring hasn’t been healing much at all. My stiches took about 8 weeks to come out. My glans are very sensitive, and lidocaine makes it numb although too much makes it pins and needles numb. Always with discomfort and pain, and it’s hard to do anything wearing clothes. My urethra sticks to my underwear constantly with or without Vaseline. It has removed my quality of life.

I am on month 4 and thinks start to get better. I can feel you i too have some discomfort especially to the top of the glans. Dont worry it will start to desensitize gradually. Give it more time. How old are you. I am 40 and i think the older you are it is more difficult

Hi myremedy it will soon 16 months I had circumcision procedure carried out, still not recovered. Please read all my concerns under moon007, my life has not only been ruined, but part of the body is completely & totally disabled, completely & totally grounded with no erections, no feelings left.

I'm sorry about your results, I also had my circ 5 months ago and it definitely wasn't a nice experience but I have been healing slowly and steadily. My glans had the sensitivity issue also but I just went commando after the first month and that fixed the issue even though it was extremely uncomfortable at first it definitely made the glans get used to the new way of life, I don't know why your urethra is still causing you problems but I hope you can get it looked at 🙏.

What do you mean by commando? I find when I try I can go a couple days but then it psychologically affects me and makes me majorly upset where I feel more sensitive to the pain I am experiencing. Thank you for your reply.

By commando I meant I didn't wear any underwear/boxers, just shorts and that would be extremely uncomfortable at first but I got used to it quite quickly.

someone suggested getting a sports cup (or box in England) and putting it under your underwear. Try that for a while, it should help

I’ll look into that possibly, thank you for your reply!

Yes a cricket box helped me.

I had mine done a couple years ago. I left it bandaged until the stitches came out due to sensitivity. Bio oil helped a lot to help heal.

I’ve been using it somewhat!

Try microfiber underwear. I'm 9 months post surgery and still have discomfort. The undies work for me.

Anywhere that sells men's ware. Mine are Reebok.

Just use some vaseline , patch it up with cotton cloth and continue your daily life. Try to take your mind out of it.

Also when in home, try often to touch your glans with your fingers often and get used to the touch.

You will be fine in 2-3 weeks.

You should really be desensitised by now. Have you tried introducing touch to the area ?

Meanwhile try using non stick dressing as a padding.

Like normal touch? I’ve been trying to ignore it and go to the gym so I am wearing underwear and shorts or pants. Sexually by myself, yes. With my partner, no.

I was hypersensitive for quite a while, I reduced it by slowly introducing touch to the head. Start with spray from the shower, gently at first then increase time and pressure. From there soft materials brushing against it, eventually it should become fine.

If left it will keratinise, harden, but I use coconut oil or cocoa butter to keep it soft but not sensitive.
