Hi I'm not the best at describing my symptoms but I have had pain on the tip of my penis, I was circumcised as a baby, I have tried a home STI kit and that came back all clear, I visited a walk in center and the doctor told me i have a are of small bumps- Can't remember the name he called them but said they would vanish by themselves over time, Some times the pain moves down the shaft and it feels like a tight feeling, I have tried other shoer gels just in case it's that, Some day's I am pain free but other day's it kicks in, Any ideas what it could be? I have had this over 2 weeks now
Many thanks
Brett

Not sure what bumps the doc told you that you had. Some men have something called pearly penile papules that often are seen as raised bumps on the corona (the rim at the base of the tip of the penis) which often go away on their own, but they can be irritating. Other types of bumps are fordyce spots and as you've state sexually transmitted infections. You've done a good job of trying to look for other causes like some type of allergy. Because there are so many things it could be, I think it's good that you're gathering information. If you're looking for more information on penis bumps and lesions the following link may be informative - menshealthhandbook.org/peni.... Because you're experiencing pain and it's radiating or spreading down the shaft, I would get a second opinion from another healthcare provider. It's always wise to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Pain in the penis is NOT normal. In addition, I'm not sure what STI's your kit was sensitive to finding but you may have something it doesn't test for, or it is possible it was a false negative, so I definitely think getting a professional test/opinion would be wise. Good luck.
