Incision line

Hey guys, just wondering how long did it take for the incision line to disappear as mine seems to be very prominent. Looks like a puffy halo around the head. I'm post opp since March 25th this year.

So it’s roughly 6 weeks since your op? It takes time for the swelling to go down, some people’s go down quickly, some slowly. My doc said that I takes a year for everything to fully heal, and that for some people the swelling can take up to 18 months to subside.6 weeks is very early days,I got snipped last September and I’ve still got some swelling on the left side under the glans but it’s gradually disappearing so it’s mainly patience from now on.You can also start to gently massage the swelling with some oil,bio oil, baby oil, coconut oil it’s all pretty much the same,do it gently a couple of times a day to help reduce the swelling. My doctor recommended Stratagel to me,it’s a silicone gel that reduces swelling and scarring and it’s an over the counter product which seemed to help as well.If you’re worried though,go and speak to your doctor and see what they say.

Aaron it’s very early days yet, but truthfully the incision line will probably never be really smooth….being circumcised as an adult is completely different from being circumcised as a baby….totally different results 🤷‍♂️👍

Disappear? A couple weeks after we die ... that's when scars begin to disappear.

I made my circumcision on April 8, and have the same condition. Even not all stitches disappeared, still have 7 , totally was 16. I am 52 years old. Why stitches dissolve so slow?

Have the stitches out ASAP. They can become infected and can leave “tunnels.”

I don't think it will disappear completely a scar is always a scar but it will improve over time.. its been 5 months post my op I am fully healed but the scar is noticeable.
