Hey, I am on day 11 or so post op. I just have one little area along the incision line, about 1-2mm, which is constantly bleeding. I don’t mean it’s gushing out or anything. It’s just very very slowly coming out. Been like this for about 5 days now.
I’ve tried to sit still for hours and let it dry but later on it will just be back to being slightly damp with blood on that area again.
Just wondering if any advice for that area. The rest of the incision has generally scabbed over now. I can’t tell you what kind of circumcision I’ve had (after reading the forum I’m amazed there are all these different techniques!) I just turned up and they did it. Based in the UK. Just fully cut and stitches all the way round and up the frenulum.
Thanks for any help.

Hey man. Everyone heals at a different pace, perhaps your body is taking a bit longer to heal that small spot where you’re still bleeding. I think as long as it’s nothing a big bleed or anything you don’t have to worry about it.
Perhaps it’s a good idea to follow up with your doc to see what he says, maybe he can recommend something for it to hell your skin heal faster
Thanks, I will give the docs a ring early next week when they open again as does seem to be bleeding a little bit more today.
Problem is talking to a doctor who can help. You don’t have access to the urologist or surgeon and can only speak to the normal GP clinic. That usually gives you a random doctor every time you ring up. They also try to discourage physically seeing patients due to the pandemic still so that’s another problem ha.
Ah well will give them a try when they open again after the Easter hols.
Hi I wouldn't be to worried we all heal at our own pace if it near the frenulum it will take longer for sure. Just keep it clean and I prefer to keep it dry between washing some salted water in a small bowl to clean rinse with water afterwards and if needed a hairdryer to dry.
If your concerned about it then consult with your doctor just to make sure.
All the best with your recovery the first couple of weeks or so are the worst it gradually improves then.
Thanks! I’m day 16 or so now. The area in question stopped bleeding but the base of the frenulum where it meets the main incision line has been slightly bleeding for a good 4 days. Again nothing major just a little bit here and there. Normally after a night erection I guess (I always wake up as they start thankfully but still do a little damage!). Hopefully this will sort its self out too. Feeling a bit more positive about the whole thing. Stitches are still in though.
Hi yeah the frenulum is always the slowest to heal unless it looks infected It should be ok and will sort itself out. I'd continue with the salted water. If the stitches don't soon start to dissolved I'd have them checked and see if they will remove them you don't want any stitch tunnels.
Good idea, 1 fell off today and a lot of the others are just untangled and dangling about now. Will give my GP a ring and try find out as I dont have anyone to ring with regards to a Urologist or the surgeon etc. Kinda just goes back to your doctor after the procedure. Still doing the salt water thing. I did have a bit of an infection I believe in the first week so got on antibiotics early as was a bit of yellow and it smelled quite bad but thats pretty much cleared up now thankfully. Thanks!
I know not much after care once its done. If the stitches are very loose you could try giving them a little tug to see if any will fall off. It's good you didn't leave the infection to long and got it sorted it would set you back quite a bit if not treated.
Mine has been done for phimosis reasons and I have hit rock bottom in terms of sex etc where it is not possible and have been in this pit for years, enough was enough. Anyway, the frenulum has generally been ok, the first week a little blood came from there but now its just a scab line which is very jaggy (still has stitches in there). This causes most discomfort when wearing clothes etc.
The small bleeding is on the opposite side, I guess you could say the 'top side' of the penis. Today it seems to be a little better as I did very little movements yesterday and applied pressure for long periods. Nothing bleeding today, as of yet! I would say I think I got all the stitches still in there. Not sure when they are supposed to dissolve.
Hi Chief Peanut my circumcision was bleeding for 3 weeks straight and tried numerous things to help it . Local hospital helped me with a product called Bactigras it's a gauze type material cut it into strips and bandage it ... change it whenever you feel it needs it but really helped with closing up the wound.
Thanks! I may look into that. I’m day 16 or so now.
