It’s day 11, had surgery due to phimosis and can only wear baggy pants with no underwear still.
Is this normal? Surely I’d be able to walk around normally by now, thanks!

Yes normal. Will take weeks or months to desensitised
I am on day 8 of my journey and was suffering the same extreme sensitivity as you. Today, I found a solution that has made a massive difference. I swapped loose underwear for extremely tight underpants dabbed with Vaseline in the crotch area. I went from being unable to get dressed to going out for a long walk in the countryside. Keeping everything tightly packed minimises the movement and rubbing and gives your tackle a lot more support. All the best with your recovery.
Everyone is different here. When a friend of mine got himself circumcised at age 23, he was wearing normal clothing right from the start. We went away on a week's touring holiday the next day and he was walking around quite normally all the time (admittedly a little gingerly for the first two days) and didn't use any painkillers, except on the first three nights he took a paracetamol before bed to get a better night's sleep - but nothing during the day.
I agree roddythescot - I'm 72 and a month and 3 days post op. I had to have a circumcision due to suffering with phimosis for a year. I dont know if its relevant but I chose a Local anesthetic as opposed to a General. I was released 2 hours after my surgery. I had a gauze covering but advised by my surgeon it'll fall off in a matter of hours. (I soon found it balled-up 'pardon my unintended pun' in my underpants). Under his advice I used Vaseline for 2 weeks on my 'wound' and began showering after 4 days. I did not require gauzes or bandages of any kind. Nor did I need to take any paid-killing meds and my stitches all dissolved after about week 3. I'm delighted to say I have experienced no paid. Like your friend we too walk quite a lot (despite our ages) we'll still do 2 - 3 miles per-day (without fail) and sometimes 5 or 6. We too walked the day after my op. I'm glad your friend is also experiencing a positive outcome so soon after, as we read so many others are having a not-so-good a time.
Yep,totally normal, what’ll help you is tight, stretchy and smooth underwear to keep everything upright and in place…also you can get some cotton gauze put some Vaseline on it and wrap it around your glans. This will stop a lot of the problem for you,be aware that doing this will slow the desensitization process but it was well worth it in my case as I was very, very sensitive, and it helped me get over the worst of it.Soaking your penis in boiled lukewarm salty water for 5 minutes twice daily is also a good idea,it gets rid of dead skin, blood blisters etc and helps keep everything clean and also speeds up desensitization.
Yes totally normal - I’m 4 weeks post surgery and I’m only starting to walk normally now lol! Sometimes I still be careful walking even now but yea this totally expected for you at day 11 so don’t worry! Like everyone else says where tight fitted underway it generally does help a lot
Were u walking around in pain? It’s funny, the only thing stopping me from walking is purple bruising on the glands. I still walk but it hurts, hopefully isn’t stopping the recover process
For me I’m now 3 months post op and the sensitivity has just only started to die down
I am a similar time to you. I had the op earlier but I had to have the bandage removed at the hospital due to excessive bleeding and the pain was immense so the doc said consider this to be day 1 because it was like having the operation again the doctor said. I was told not to soak in the bath so the only way it came off was with force.
I have found briefs around the house but as a walker I am trying to identify a way I can walk outside without mild pain. Walking is currently uncomfortable. I have not even thought about running again and as this is second operation For me I will be so out of shape when I do.
I went to work 2 days after the surgery. You should be walking around by now
