I have never been able to retract my foreskin and this is becoming a problem for me. There is no consistent or random pain but is impacting my sex life, girls can be put off of having sex with me because of this and in intercourse there is a considerable lack of sensation. What would you all recommend to treat this, beside surgery. Thank you.

Phimosis struggle
I think there is only one answer - Go and see your Doctor. They will give you all the options.
Definitely see a doctor, but ask about stretching and steroid creams as an alternative to surgery, and if they don't work, ask about preputioplasty as an alternative to circumcision.
Some men choose to live with phimosis, but personally, if nothing else worked, I'd want to be circumcised, but only as a last resort.
Don’t struggle. You are young. Talk to your doctor about your options. Don’t do nothing. It won’t sort itself out.

You know very well that severe phimosis can only be rectified by circumcision…if you’re suffering from mild to moderate phimosis stretching and steroid creams are the best option, but circumcision is definitely the only option in some cases.
That's absolutely not true .... many men with severe cases of phimosis have successfully "stretched", or grown enough new skin cells to permit normal retraction. Only men who give up are unsuccessful. Are you one of them?
So I must be one who gave up!! I have been trying to stretch the skin for years, and had no success, in fact the opposite. The phimosis kept getting worse instead of better, and had started to have an effect on how I urinated as well.
I had two options: -
1 - have a circumcision
2 - not have an active pain free sex life, and not be able to stand at urinals like 'normal' men.
I am not intending to be rude, or dismiss your claims, but stretching does not work for some people, and I am one of them! Sweeping statements like you have just made could have a very negative affect on someones mental and physical health.
For 20 years I felt like I was not normal and it was having an affect on my own mental health and on relationships with potential partners. Since the operation (and it is only 7.5 weeks) I have felt more like a man than I ever have.
I am 31 years old and had phimosis my whole life. I am now 6 weeks post circumcision and I am really happy with the decision I made. Like you I would feel uncomfortable showing my penis to girls as the foreskin could not retract back at all. My penis now looks a lot more attractive (to me anyway) and it has improved my confidence with women. Not had sex yet but hopefully soon The healing of my surgery has gone really well, the first 2 weeks a the worst but things do improve after that. My penis glands were very sensitive at the start as they had never been exposed before but now it is about 85-90% all good.
