Yes. Swelling is quite normal after invasive operation like adult male circumcision. It will fade within weeks or couple of months at least. First weeks are the worst.

What was the process like? Was it invasive - did you have local anaesthetic? My son is wanting laser as opposed to traditional surgery like I had.

Swelling is normal in the beginning. For me it lasted for the first 5-6 days. If it lasts more than 2 weeks, consult your surgeon

I was laser circumcised in 2014. Always expect swelling and bruising on the first two weeks. After that recovery is rapid. Being circumcised is really great and far better for females health as well.
