Any advice? On odor and discharge post circumcision?
Probably normal but as always if you're concerned get it checked. Around this period in recovery the glans is scabbing over with soft wet and sticky whitish gunk. A bit like the smegma you get if you don't clean under your foreskin for a few days. I certainly had this and it cleared after a couple of days. GP prescribed antibiotics "just in case" but I didn't take them and it went away on its own
Thanks for the reply, yeah since thats come on this is when the odors started, im washing 2x a day so i was just wondering, in seeing my gp monday so ill just have them check it over, im not of fan of antibiotics due to a reaction i had the last time i was on them, but im hoping its just normal, cant wwit to recover as this is a long process lol
Its completely normal my friend, its a part of normal healing process, just clean twice a day with lukewarm salt or soap water and apply the cream given by ur Dr after its completely dry, for drying you can use towel/tissue incase if any issue to wipe withit use dryer, I have done samething, it took 2 weeks to heal except fernulum part.
Any update on how you’re getting on? I’m experiencing the same thing and on day 8. Trying to get an appointment with the Dr today
I had mine done on 27th of October and I had a smell to but it goes, I had two warm saltwater baths a day which did seem to help.
I saw what may have been discharge (but never seemed to be visibly coloured on the urethra), may have been related to urine or precum (impossible to say if not ejaculating may increase this or change the consistency), and on one day there was a bad smell (a bit gross, nothing visible).
Usually it would leave a white-ish mark, sometimes yellow-ish. Not pleasant to discuss but seems like enough people experience it that it’s normal after this type of operation.
At around 2 weeks I went for a check up to rule out an STI, but I think this emission/coating is just a natural side effect of the keratinisation process as circblog says. The nurse I spoke to did not want to prescribe antibiotics (essentially she didn’t want to interfere with the surgeon’s affairs) and suggested calling the surgeon’s team, who said this was normal and to call back if it persisted.
I’m on day 21 and it stopped sticking to my underwear due to this glue-like stuff maybe 2 or 3 days ago (pretty abrupt change, I was starting to worry it would happen forever).
Change your underwear twice a day, wash twice a day (I find a shower in the morning and bath at night is good once you’re ready to handle showers) and I expect it’ll pass in a matter of days for you too.
