Post circumcision day 12

Wanted to give an update (decided to go ahead post updates on the whole recovery for anyone that would find it useful). Last post I was a mess dealing with sensitive glans, swelling, and having trouble peeing. It is now day 12 post op and glans sensitivity has reduced significantly. My advice is pushing through the rough sensation and get those glans acclimated to the new environment. I still feel the sensitivity but it's bearable. Also going back to work today so wish me luck lol. Swelling is decreasing gradually. Pissing was an issue. But apply Vaseline to the tip before wearing rough clothing and that takes care of the issue for the most part. And as the swelling goes down peeing will become normal. My fellow fresh cut people, good luck on your recovery. One thing I learned from this forum is that, everything does gets better.

I am on my 8th week now still I am fighting day and night with sensitive glans. Though it has reduced a lot and looks like its not dropping anymore. I can touch it but any sort of rubbing results in a huge discomfort. I am not sure how a handjob or blow would feel in such a sensitive glans 😞

You always need some sensitivity. If you are talking about hypersensitivity one thing that helped me is really let your glans out there. Meaning wear different types of clothing and let them get used to those. When you sleep just sleep naked. Let the air do its thing. 8th week is still considered early. It takes about 6 months for everything to get normal. But trust me you will start feeling better soon. Like I said let them out and experience the rough terrain of life. Tight underwear, loose underwear, jeans, etc. Take it step by step. Good luck

Thats a good advise. Seems like I am keeping it covered with my foreskin most of the time in a day as I am partially cut. Now on I will try to keep it open mostly and live with it. As ai said the hypersensitivity has been hugely reduced since week 1 and 2 but it is still there and a slight rub with hands or a sudden touch by towel after shower feels very uncomfortable. Again true I am still in early phase of recovery (7 weeks). I will keep an eye on your updates.

Try to pull back the foreskin and leave the glans open. I seen alot of guys here suggest medical tape to keep the foreskin from covering up the glans. Start slow and increase gradually. You ll get there man.

Sure, I also found that the tip of penis glans gets intermittent swelling. Someday its swelled and other it just fine. Not sure if its due to different fabric of my underwear or due to remaining balanitis that I might have?

By the way I was like you: the glans have never seen sunlight in 35 yrs ( type 4 phimosis)

I think I had type 3 phimosis. The tip is gonna get very inflamed. Especially if you have balanitis. In my case it was just overall inflammation because of phimosis. I found that putting Vaseline on the tip helps with the rubbing and irritating caused by clothing. Always keep Vaseline with you where ever you go. Makes a huge difference. My tip is still inflamed but it's getting better because I can finally pee without spraying it everywhere.

Don't worry too much about sensitivity. If we live long enough there won't be any ... sensitivity. That's all but guaranteed. Ask any man in his 60's ... the ones cut at birth.

Hello mate , Thanks for the awesome posts you made which is helping the Community a lot.

I am on Day 13 healing is going good just a small question the swelling is there which is ok since I understand the swelling takes time but my right side is healing a lot faster and few stutures are already gone but my left side I see some scabbing did you face similar thing ? or did you face any scabbing at all ?

Yes and still dealing with it almost 5 weeks post op. I talked to my doctor and according to him it's very very normal. Swelling goes down but it takes some time. But it will definitely go down in the next few weeks to months. Scabbing is normal. It means everything is healing perfectly. Don't pick off the scabs. Let them fall off on their own. I know it's rough to look at but as the days and weeks go, you will enjoy your new penis. And appreciate the feedback. I ll post a 5 week update soon.
