I have a foreskin and glad I do even though it doesn't cover my glans completely like I would like.

I have out of curiosity looked up circumcision and came across adult males having it done. why would they want to?
I am at my one and a half week mark post Circumcision and the reason I got it done as an adult was I had an a condition called (phimosis) that began to get worse and I wasn’t able to enjoy my penis as I should.
Thank you, can you give me some detail about how phimosis affected you. I have looked it up but don't remember it all.
So basically phimosis is when the foreskin is very tight around the head of the gland and is unable to retract so any tension or trying to force it back is very discomforting and actually hurts very bad. Also a lot of men have gotten urinary track infections due to pooling under the foreskin and not being able to retract and clean it properly.
It is up to the individual man to decide what to do with his foreskin whether the foreskin is smelly, preventing urination as happens to many uncut older men who get phimosis and who have diabetes, hygiene issues that washing regularly does not resolve or even if the man finds it ugly. Personal choice applies.
I had issues with mine which unlike yours, covered most of the glans but fully retractable. The smell was the worse, it was nausea inducing, and no amount of hygiene helped. The foreskin was very efficient at collecting all manner of things, fluff, hairs. My foreskin, the bottom part of the spout blocked the meatus which meant I sprayed everywhere 360 deg when urinating, I had enough of having to retract my foreskin to pee without spoiling myself. I also had PPP which I hated. Is that enough reasons for you?
Your key line is that you say you have a foreskin and “glad” you do. In that case there is no reason at all for you to consider circumcision. Most adult men who choose to get circumcised do so because they have a medical problem with their foreskin that less aggressive non-surgical methods have failed to resolve. Some men undergo the surgery for cosmetic reasons.
Unless you have a medical condition (i.e., lichen sclerosus, unmitigable phimosis, etc.), circumcision surgery should be a last resort. Any surgery carries tangible risks and the outcomes can never be assured - just read some of the complications shared by individuals on this site. It certainly sounds like you have a healthy, functional penis and the length of your foreskin should simply not be a concern. Some foreskins cover the entire glads, others extend beyond the glans, and still others sometimes only barely cover the the glans at all. Bottom line, a healthy foreskin protects the glans from drying out, retains pre-ejaculate fluid around the head of the glans for added stimulation, and facilitates roller-gliding sensation during masturbation and intercourse. Personally I had a really tight foreskin and I couldn't wash or clean my penis. It covered the full head of the penis. I got one infection from a build up of smegma so I decided to just deal with the cause. So glad I got it done, it also looks a lot better according to the girlfriend. So not a bad side effect.
Phimosis in my case. Also I'm against child circ. Circumcision only by consent or medical need.
