6 months have passed since my circumcision. This forum and its members have been very helpful, so I want to give new members insight into my progress.
I am 33 years and I was diagnosed with phimosis. I also used to suffer from recurrent balanoposthitis so the only way to deal with them was circumcision. I was scared at first but believe me that it is a medical issue that needs to be addressed.
My doctor used a laser for my circumcision with total anesthesia.
After the procedure, I kept my initial bandages for the first day and then I kept changing them every day.
The first time I took off my bandages I noticed that a part of my glans, above my frenulum, was dark from the concentrated blood. It disappeared in the third week.
When I cleaned and applied cream (Fucidin) to my penis I would say that it was more frustrating than hurtful.
My first stitches started to fall on my second week and all of them till the third week.
I stopped using bandages on the last days of the first month.
For the first two weeks, I used ice to calm my night erections, in order to keep my stitches in place.
At first, my penis size was half of what it used to be, however it came back to its full length. Don't be afraid and give it time to heal, all will come back.
By the end of the first month, I noticed some pain in my testicles, it was due to the lack of ejaculation.
The swelling kept reducing week by week, the last part to heal was near the frenulum.
At this stage of the sixth month, the only thing that is yet remaining is a tiny spot of hard skin (bumps) near the frenulum that it was produced because of the stitches, this will also loosen up. I used a cream called stratamed.
Sex now is way more pleasant, however, you will probably have to change the way you masturbate and use some oil.
The inconvenience of the feeling against my underwear stopped on the third to fourth month, and now I don't mind it at all.
All I learned from those 6 months, is that you should be patient and give it some time.
