Well, stretching the incision line is the most harmful thing when your wound is not healed properly. That's why it is suggested to not masturbate with up and down movement over the wound within first six weeks post-op.

The surface of the wound will heal first, but in deeper tissue level it takes more than six weeks. Healing is a process and scar will develop 18-24 months post-op.
