ZSR Staples stuck inside
Rush to your doctor asap. Do not remove them on your own.
Thank you. I am outside the side where my Dr. Resides.. I am trying to connect the Dr. Now Have you had zsr & how is the condition now
Ya I am on my 3rd week post zsr op. Everything seems fine. The silicon ring and the staples were fully out in the 2nd week.
It's great. Im not sure why it's taking longer for me & also is it common to have staple get stuck inside? How painful it is during removal by Dr. ?
Generally it is not common. Maybe it would have happened during some night erections. It’ll just pain a bit and it’ll bleed a small amount when the doctor pulls them. Maybe he’ll ask you to apply some antibiotic cream. Nothing to worry.
I see, yes I had frequent erections at night & unable to sleep full night until as it hurts lot near frenulum.. seems ring is slipped off due to pressure, so I see cut like look behind the ring. Thanks you
How about post Staples fall off? Is it healing fast & any other issue like skin not joined ...?
Ya its healing well. Was on antibiotics for a while, and daily dressing. There is still swelling, which I assume will go only with time. No pain or anything anymore.
If Pus is building up then better to see doctor otherwise staples can stuck at below part before they fall off
Yes I observed the same, I noticed ring was about to fall off partially at frenulum region but due to night erections it was getting so tighter that ring area was farming wound by slipping off the ring all around. It was just 3-4 days later that was unable to bare the pain & pins got stuck under the wound. Later Dr. had remove them which is very painful & Dr told there is no infection such. Wound cab be cured with antibiotic ointment.
Quote: "The main disadvantage of the stapler is the need to remove residual staples after surgery. Most patients (388/441, 88.0%) who underwent stapler circumcision in the present study required removal of residual staples by their surgeon. We recently added a plastic gasket underneath the staples (Figure 4) and are evaluating its impact on spontaneous staple removal. The other solution is to improve the material of the staples so that they fall off spontaneously within 1 month."

Yes I agree, residual Staples should be removed at the earliest as per condition, else may expect be possible adverse impacts in recovery process.
Well, difficult to say, but normally circumcision wound will heal within 4-6 weeks post-op. The scar will develop 18-24 months post-op.
