Stitches still there after 6 weeks

Hey guys,it's been 6 weeks but I still have stitches that I can feel under my skin and I still have swelling around the incision line. What can I do to remove them faster?

Are they dissolvable sutures? Have the ends dropped off?

They are dissolvable and I think theyve fallen off because I don't see any of the ends

The suture material is made to be dissolved within the body. Yours may just be taking a long time to do so. Perhaps get them checked by your doctor or surgeon.

I had the same thing after 6 weeksMy dr had them removed

He said my biology was a bit slow to work them out

What was the procedure? Did it hurt?

Yes if the stitches are removed after 6 weeks it does hurt a bit, is still tender and he gets under those stitches to cut them off with sharp object and pulling and tagging , u can handle it. but after that day it started healing faster I think and had sex no more annoying prickly stitches
