Alex Hardy's suicide because of circumcision

Has anyone ever read the story of Alex Hardy's suicide after he had a circumcision two years prior? I have and I honestly feel like I may go down the same path due to the similarities I'm noticing between the after effects he felt after his circumcision which I wake up to everyday now since I had my circumcision done 9 weeks ago.

I only recently found out about Phimosis after doing my circumcision, I honestly thought removing my foreskin would naturally desensitize my glans which has been over sensitive for as far back as I can remember but that has proven not to be the case so far.

Has anyone ever gone through this and actually made it? If so please help me I am 25 by the way from South Africa.

Many people get through surgery but all their stories are not the same. Some desensitise quickly, others take a long time. If your sensitivity is so bad I would suggest that you might want to consult a dermatologist.

There can be many complications from circumsision especially as older ages. I am truly sorry for the pain you are going through. Stay strong. I am going through it myself.

How are you now? I'm seeing some improvement on my side I hope you do too

Hang in there man. I am 25 too and got circumcised a week back. Clearly has been the toughest times for me. I am sorry for the pain, look for any solutions you can get off the internet. Consult a doctor?

Don't worry man sensitivity will reduce over time. Time heals all things. If ur having to much sensitivity for a little while u can try gauze and tape around scar little loose that acts like a barrier or go to the doctor, he might have a way to desensitize the area. I got my circumcision now I'm 3.5 months post but I still have swelling at the inner foreskin but ik it will take time to heal and sensitivity slowly reduced for me .

No I never heard that story but my Friend please if you feel down talk to someone if not a professional a good friend , please my friend everything can be dealt with . You’re a young man you got so much to give in your life, everything can be resolved, trust me in the future you will question yourself , what I was thinking writing something like this? I’m hoping you will do the right thing and look after yourself by seeing a Doctor or other professionals if you still feel on the way you do!! Remember every think you say to doctors is confidential !!

Please don't make a permanent decision (suicide) over something that is probably temporary. Sensitivity is different for everyone but many men report it and that it improves with time. Circumcision recovery time can be lengthy so give it time and try not to be discouraged. If you have any worries about how you are progressing I would urge you to see your physician. Good luck and please let me know how it progresses.

Thank you for the positivity, I gave it time and it seems to be getting better all by itself. I've at least made some progress seeing as how I can wear clothes now

In the case of Alex Hardy, let’s not be so naive to believe that one event in his life triggered something so devastating. His circumcision was no doubt only one of many unresolved contributing factors. My suggestion is to surrender to therapy which helps you to revisit events in your life which have led to this time. You deserve to know and understand the whole story. If you check out now, you’ll cheat yourself from knowing.

Seek counseling immediately. Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem: your healing is in the infancy stage - do not lose hope! Your situation will improve as time elapses - do not allow compulsions to govern your judgment. Consult with your physician and request numbing creams to aid your discomfort. We're all broken vessel and the journey of life makes us complete.

I’m on week 7 and getting better slowly but surely, no cuicide my brother!! Be strong it will all be alright in time and so will u!Yes I read the story and was sadden by it but we r all going thru some pain and discomfort is the nature of surgery and the sensitivity will in time go away with thicker skin replacing the old one

In time u will enjoy better sex than before your pelvis will look like a rock star and life will be great again

Surround your self with good friends and family in the time being for love and support, stay busy stay active stay healthy and most importantly stay positive and believe in your self and in your penis

Life is great

We are here fir a reason

To live a full and happy life and to be the best version of our selfs

With god all things are possible

First please bear in mind that no two people are the same. Everyone has a different life and everyone’s body reacts and responds slightly differently. So don’t equate yourself with some sad story you read on the internet. It’s just a way to get yourself into a negative downward cycle.

Millions of men/boys are circumcised and live very comfortably without any issues. So circumcision isn’t a bad thing or the end of the world

Body takes time to heal. Post any surgery or procedure the body takes 5-8 months to fully heal and adjust. Sometimes the adjustment period is longer - example if someone loses a limb or vision. So don’t expect instant remedial - it’s not computer animation that it will just change and be perfect in an instant.

The sensitivity of your glans will go down slowly. In the interim try the following:

1. Keep your penis up - pointing to the belly button against your lower torso. This reduces the amount of your exposed glans that will rub with your clothes

2. To help with #1 above and to reduce the rubbing and friction with your clothes wit tour penis when you move, try and wear a snug fitting underwear. Usually boxer briefs work the best. Avoid wearing boxers or going commando.

3. After every shower massage the penis head (glans) and shaft with coconut oil to help heal and keep the skin soft. Natural Coconut oil helps heal the skin and makes it healthier.

4. Trim or shave your pubic hair. This hair can cause tickling and irritation which can enhance the sensation on the fully exposed glans. You should try and keep all the hair in the pubic region that can touch any part of your penis shaved or no longer than a few millimeters.

And please remember that all sensation from your penis is not expected to go away. Else you will not enjoy sex when you need to let go some steam or need to procreate.

Message me if you have any questions or need to chat.

So should i wear boxers when im at home as well does that help

YumTea profile image
YumTea in reply toJhon21

If it’s still healing you need to keep it from moving much. I usually recommend wearing a dark boxer brief so that the bandaged penis can be kept facing up (against lower abdomen facing the belly button). However at night when you go to bed it’s best to wear loose comfortable clothing (preferably cotton) so your body stays cool and comfortable.

In the 2 point he explain why wearing boxer briefs helps reduce the sensitivity thats why i asked

YumTea profile image
YumTea in reply toJhon21

Forst the focus should be on healing. Sensation will reduce over time as the skin adjusts to being exposed.
