Have you guys inquire about men who have been circumcised from birth? How is their sex life vs normal life? Do they have any complications with anything?

Around 2 000 infant are cut here in Finland yearly (<1% of born). Estimate 10% of those had medical condition. The rest had it done by their parents cult. There are few commercial clinic who still do it here. Public hospital won't do it, and parents need to pay for it, cause there is no insurance coverage for unnecessary operation.

I do know few who had it done because of pinhole phimosis, when they were 4-7 years old. I think those who had their genitals cut are their reality and they can not physically know different condition. They can just read about it.

I think Routine Infant Circumcision in any civilized society is a risky business and wrong. What about genital autonomy and religious/cult freedom. No one can foresee how infant penis will grow. It can be too tight, scarred and unnecessary anyway, if there is no medical urge. It's against human rights, IMO.

I was circumcised from birth. For me your question was like asking a blue eyed person if they saw things differently from a brown eyed person. How can I know? Growing up in the USA in the 60's at the pool changing room and showers, and later in gym classes where showers were mandatory, I saw almost no uncircumcised guys ( believe me, I checked them out). If there were, the uncircumcised were the "different" guys. That was true through university and in many other gyms I've been to since. In the USA during my generation, dicks were cut. Because of recent education (and the trends) there is more attention given to not having your baby circumcised. My experience and second hand knowledge is cut guys don't have many more problems than uncut. It wasn't until l found this site that I realized circumcision could be such a big deal. For me as an adult I couldn't imagine having my already great 😘😍dick cut on for aesthetic purposes. (Don't most of us feel like our dicks are great?) Medical reasons for being circumcised are a different matter.

I too am from the US and being born in the 1950's everyone was cut accept the kids that were born in the poor Appalations Mountains. That was 4 out of 150 guys in gym class. Many of the guys cut later in life say there is no difference. I beg to differ. They don't know that the penis continues to become more desensitized as you age until at some point, it's all gone. Then celibacy will be the word. This can happen as early as 30, but most in their 50's & 60's Those guys are pretty easy to pick out. Their usually grumpy and they say that sex is over rated. Mine happened at 50, and I was not happy. Doctors just tell you I normal. I started to do my research and became educated on foreskins. The more I learned the more angry I got. The culprit behind the mass circumcisions' of us American boys was the US Military. They didn't want to deal with boys and their penal problems and I really cuts down on the jacking off in the barracks. And infant circumcision does cut down on your labido. We have a 20 year head start on desensitizing compared to guys who are cut at 20. Sex is a whole other thing. A dry penis can cause a lots of problems. An Australian guy coined sex in the US as "sour sex". I think he was just being nice. I personally changed all that by regrowing my foreskin. One of the best things I could have done for myself. It's only a replica, but it's sure a hell of lot better than nothing. The sad part about all this is the amount of ignorance you find. Parents know nothing, Doctors know nothing, The CDC knows nothing, and that's just the way the people in power want to keep it.

Thank you for taking the time to respond with some good information. It’s interesting I have seven grandsons and as far as I remember from changing diapers none of them were circumcised. For three of them their daddy is a Brit and my understanding is in the UK not cutting is the norm; for the for others the in the USA the decision was just made not to cut. I think education has helped somewhat to change the older misinformation.

This is really a question about pain and problems associated with the age of cutting. Newborns cry from birth, and then they are cut, and they cry more, and then they stop. A 4-year old is taken to the hospital because his pee-pee is not working right and he returns home missing his foreskin and he cries and then he stops. Some religions have ceremonies to cut all the boys in the village at 9 or 11 years-old in an assembly line. In the shower in the US teens learn that 90%(?) of their mates are cut and 10% of the kids are uncut. Beyond that, most of them go after the girls and everything works fine except the girls talk about the boy who had this weird skin over his dick head that disappeared when he got hard. But that doesn't stop the boys and the girls from doing it. Beyond that, the penis is not discussed until it starts hurting during sex, masturbation, or cleaning. Cut dicks are never mentioned because they look the same at 7 am and at 11 pm. Problems with foreskins among the "older" group seems to take up a lot of time, and surgery puts the guy out of commission for weeks or months.

The question is how can newborns, 4 years olds, and 9 or 11 year olds be circumcumcised and recover so quickly when teens (I guess) and adults are incapacitated for weeks or months? Should all 9-year old boys be examined and told that there is an x-percent chance that they will have foreskin problems if they don't get cut soon? It seems no / few questioners here ever have annual medical checkups, and if they develop a problem they will fight before making an appointment. Maybe it would help if Urologists were called Dick-ologists, as that is what they spend their life studying and have seen thousands of every shape and size, so yours is not special, even though it is very special to you.

Thank you for your well stated response to this discussion. I appreciate your viewpoints and I think I would mutually agree on what you’ve added to the discussion. Dickologist—now that’s a term that could sell. .
