Circumcised 24 days ago

Hello, new to here. A lot of google searches brought be here so thought I’d join and seek some advice.

I was circumcised 24 days ago, the urologist told me not to moisturise. From about 3 days after the operation, my glans have been so dry, the skin flakes and sheds. Is this the normal healing process?

Thanks in advance..

Welcome to the forum!

The drying out of the glans is normal and part of the process whereby your glans gets used to not being covered. I guess that is why your urologist advised against prolonging that process by moisturising.

Hey thanks for the reply. I thought this was the case, but some google searches stated fully healing after 1-2 weeks.

Drying out is normal. Once I felt comfortable I applied cocoa butter to stop it drying out too much whilst still maintaining some sensitivity.Good Luck
