Hi all, thanks to whoever started this chat. I am 19 days post my circumcision. The surgeon is world renowned you and I have complete trust in him but I was wondering if someone with with a similar experience can help me.
I am above average so he purposely left skin which rolls over the head of my penis slightly (where the penis gland are) so I don’t have a problems when having a erection.
However stitches are healing but slow they haven’t all fully dissolved yet. I have started salt water baths to help. However my main problem is that my erections don’t seem as hard and definitely not a long as before. It’s like something is holding it back.
Is this normal? Will it get back to normal? It’s still slightly swollen and around the stitches area it’s bit hard.
Any advise would be great!
Thanks!

Thank you mate, have you had similar experience? Also the sensitivity on the top of the head still isn’t 100% but it think that’s because it’s still scappy and slightly swollen still?
They removed my frenulum also not sure if that changed anything with erection.
Thanks a lot
Part of the post-op situation is usually swelling. That can make it appear as if you have lost length but none of your penis length has been removed. You need to give it time.
Thanks for your reply. It’s definitely shorter as I measured it before I have the operation 😅 its like its tight and something is holding it back. Could this be the stitches or that it’s not 100% healed yet?
It is because it has not finished healing. Tightness/swelling makes the penis look shorter but, as it has not had anything cut off its length it cannot be. It is all there but, at the moment, you cannot see it all.
Hi, interested to know who did your circumcision. I had Dr Khan from Luton / London, who was excellent. Like you, the skin sometimes partly covers the glans when flaccid but when fully erect it is fine. The healing process took about 3 months, as the healing continues inside, but things will get back to normal. 😀
In my case the penis feels harder, and the base somehow feels a little more 'defined' from the rest of my body, if that makes any sense. It's a nice feeling. I didn't lose any length. Some do, some don't, as we're all different. I've still got some skin movement when erect, but I requested this to avoid tightness with my scrotum, given that I have a prosthetic testicle due to early cancer there years ago.
I have some burning pain once or twice during the first week. But none afterwards. Now I’m 23 day post op, and my peeing is returning to pre-surgery state. Still very careful emptying the bladder though.
For me, the first month was hard going, with pee going everywhere! Don't worry, things will calm down once the swelling goes down and the internal healing progresses.
