Apologies in advance if I say anything inappropriate but I feel like I need to be specific with the “problem” I’m having.
I’ve lately been having some concerns with my foreskin. It’s not a problem while flacid but erect is another story, when it gets erect the skin does not go back “naturally”, I can make it go back without much force, it doesn’t hurt, the “problem” is when I get “too erect”(I hope you understand that) the gland gets bigger(while the foreskin is retracted) and the foreskin get tighter, and it feels really uncomfortable, even more while looking at it. The few times I retracted the foreskin for ejaculation and the foreskin got even more tighter around the base of the gland and it’s even more uncomfortable. It makes me kind of embarrassed in sexual encounters, not by the way it looks or anything but having to put “rules” so I don’t feel uncomfortable, makes me feel kind of a whimp. I just want to know if this is normal and with time it will go away, or is it something I need to get checked out?... just in case, I have NO pain what so ever, just a lot of discomfort in erect situations when the foreskin is retracted, and the feeling that the gland is going to “pop” while ejaculating because the foreskin gets really tight around it.
Thank you, in advance.

You probably got light phimosis. I had the same problem. My shlong turned purple sometimes, literally looked like it was gonna pop no joke lol. Look up phimosis rings and give that a try. Or just do stretches everyday so it can ease up. I just got circumcised five days ago because of that that^ but I don’t think you HAVE to get circumcised.
Thank you, I’ll definitely will look into those rings. I’ve been thinking about getting circumcised but the people I’ve asked for opinions and stuff and they all say it “hurts” cause there’s no type of anesthesia or numbing of the area, doubt it but, still that’s what’s been keeping away from that idea, but I’ll see where I can find those rings and give them a try.
Light phimosis is more likely to benefit from stretching exercises in conjunction with a steroid cream which your doctor can prescribe. Nothing I have heard indicates a definite circumcision at this stage. nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/
Thank you, I will talk to my doctor right away, I’m kind of desperate to get this sorted out as quickly as possible. I know it will take time but the quicker I begin the better.
When flaccid retract your foreskin and roll it forward over both your index fingers. Once your fingers are inside your foreskin gently pull them apart. You will feel the tight ring. Gently stretch it apart regularly at least twice or three times a day. If you are struggling ask your doctors for some steroid cream. The secret is to keep going gently but firm. Don’t give up. It will stretch.
Except for 'tribal' initiations a circumcision is ALWAYS done with anaesthetic these days and you feel NO PAIN at all whilst it is being done and for several hours afterwards. Thereafter you probably will feel some discomfort as it heals, but few would call this real pain. Ordinary 'headache' tablets are all you should need to cover it.
From what you initally wrote, it would seem that you have a degree of phimosis and are experiencing some praphimosis when retracted and fully erect. You shoudn't have to put up with discomfort like that and probably ought to talk with your doctor for his opinion.
If you are in the UK it is unlikely they will provide surgery straight off if you in no pain as you describe. Steroid creams may be prescribed first. If it gets worse then surgery will be considered, unless of course you pay privately.
In my opinion try stretching then move onto steroid cream.
The procedure will be carried out using either local or general anaesthetic. The healing process can be long and painful, which may be what people are describing.
Has it always been like this or just recent because it has started happening to me a few months ago when I have had years of being able to retract my foreskin easily when erect and flaccid. Sadly not anymore and I am trying various creams as prescribed by my Dr before I have to be referred to a urologist for possible circumcision. I am going to start trying the stretching exercises as mentioned by others and see if it makes a difference. Good luck
You’d do well to concentrate your research on ‘paraphimosis’ which is what your condition sounds like. The advice already given by Jaglad is spot on, diligent gentle stretching ought to cure it and circumcision wouldn’t normally be warranted as it isn’t severe and you’re able to fully expose your glans. However, if you see no progress whatsoever over (say) a few months then it would be best to seek medical help. Don’t put up with it as it will totally ruin your sex life and relationships.
I have tried using a mild moisturiser, to soften the skin. But to no avail, masturbation and intercourse are extremely painful. 😳 The problem where I live is getting an appointment, almost got more chance of winning the lottery.
I hope you got your penis problems sorted out 2 years ago, and doing well.
I'm replying to you specifically because your symptoms seemed closer to mine. (Mine might be a little worse.)
Like you, I have no problems flaccid; also when erect, the foreskin retacts completely but yes the foreskin clenches around the base of the head/glans, narrowing the shaft a little. There's a little discomfort but the main problem is it seems harder to maintain a full erection - though this may be partly in my head (my brain head! 😃 ). I can flip the foreskin over the glans fairly easily when erect, and without pain.
While I'm not so concerned as you were about the visual aspect, I do worry my tight foreskin is compromising my erection. I did put this theory to a GP once, and he said the tightness was more likely to stiffen the member (though I'm not convinced personally). That said, after reading through various HU chat lines on tight foreskins, no-one seems to have brought 'up' the issue of erections so maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily.
One of your respondees suggested you probably have/had light phimosis, and I hope that turns out to be the case both for you and me.
I wonder did you ever try the Phimocure rings and/or stretching, and did they work? Did you sort your problem, which having read around here, does seem thankfully mild in comparison to some guys? From the Phimocure website I reckon I would have Level 1 phimosis.
