How is Treatment for my Penile Lichen Sclerosus? I‘m aware the issue remains, but the symptoms of penile lichen can be solved ? Plz Help

Hello Guys I’m writing from Germany. Hopefully Some of You can give me some tips and advice concerning my issues. I‘m a 18 year old male with lichen sclerosus, 4 years previous i had a full circumcision , the circumcision went well, but the problems of lichen sclerosus remained. I have big white patches all around my glans and also a bit of scarring which kind of came along. The urologist recently send me to a dermatologist to give his own opinion. I was told that this condition can‘t be cured but the features of lichen such as the white skin and the scarring can be solved. What is there to do ? I have read alot about steroid treatment or even laser . Looking forward to your experiences and opinions .

Hi Bensta sorry to hear about your LS hopefully the condition has stopped progressing since your circumcision but you have been left with discoloration and some scarring. It's good you have been referred to a dermatologist they will probably start you on a course of steroids to try and maintain the condition. I'm not really sure if there is a treatment for the discoloration and scarring other than surgical and skin grafts. If they give you a course of steroid cream I would give it sometime and see if it helps to reduce the discoloration it is also important to keep it from getting worse and spreading to the meatus. But hopefully it is dormant since your circumcision. You may also need to consider having a consultation with a specialist with expertise in this condition.

Wenn es keine Falten gibt und kein Rückfall besteht, können Sie versuchen, die Verdickung der Haut mit einem Laser zu entfernen ( Schleifen des Kopfes des Penis).
