I just found this forum and it's very useful. I had my circumcision at age 32 3 days ago on the NHS. I could never retract the foreskin and had issues during sex which is why I opted for it. However I jsuy took the bandages off and had a little panic attack, it looks so strange, the bottom of the head is super swollen (glans I think) and I am struggling to find a comfortable position to sleep or sit. Is the swelling normal? The stitches look fine, little bloody but not too bad, it's just the bottom of the head is super swollen. Any advice to put me at ease would be massively appreciated.

Thank you, hopefully in a couple of days the pain of moving is more manageable. I have had to re apply some gauze because it's too painful to have anything in contact with it without.
Hi mate, wanted to do this surgery but how’s this process through NHS in terms of bureaucracy/ waiting list? Additionally how was the procedure- full anestesia/recovery?
Honestly the NHS was super quick. I had a general anaesthetic which was fine. But I'm on day 4 of recovery, it's not easy tbh, difficult to sleep and very uncomfortable. However I'm hoping it was the right decision. Hopefully after a couple of weeks things will get easier.
