Circumcision OP day 5

Hello, probably here,

I’m trying to do more cleaning and get used to this lingo that everyone is using here.

So my issues are as follows:

I’m showering by having my back towards the shower head to prevent my penis from being pelted by water... is that fine? I am then turning off the water, drying up however much I can afterwards, then sitting down at the side of my bathtub soaking a rag with water and squeezing the water over my penis. Anything I should try? I’m just afraid more so.

After I get clean I notice either white or yellow pus-like substance either under the area of where I pee, or near the suture site. Any info there?

I still currently have swelling happening on my right side of the penis/skin around the head.

I use an antibiotic cream on the wound/stitches site whenever I can, is that fine?

I just need guidance. I need more points of view.

Stitches are still in, hyper sensitive ish nowadays, I want help and advice so that I may get my life in order.. please and thanks..

-Probably.

You need to follow the instructions that your surgeon provided you with. You are still at the onset of your healing and therefore, swelling is expected for another week or so. The frenulum is the last to heal and the one that caused me the most discomfort and pain.

On day 3 I removed the gauze and did not applied another one. I was able to shower gently spraying water on my surgery area since it was quite sensitive. I dried my body with a towel and used a blow drier to dry my surgery. After drying myself, I applied polysporin ( to prevent infection). I did this 3-4 times a day as instructed. I showered everyday after day 3.

Be patient, keep things clean, and rest. You got this!!!

The doctor notes were pretty vague and even when I first called and asked how things may possibly go, he didn’t seem too happy with what he had heard..So I’m a bit blind going in all this. I’ll keep the stuff stated in mind. Thanks for the reply and support. :V

Anything else that may come to mind that may help me?

Unless you properly wash your penis with soap and water you will get a buildup of any creams you apply.

When showering, allow the water to spray onto your chest and hold your hand above your penis with fingers spread so that the direct jet is broken up before hitting your penis,

I’ll probably get better at showering with my penis sooner or later. :V Nonetheless, I like hearing from anyone if possible, so thank you. Anything that may come to mind?
