I am new to this forum. I have registered to raise my concern. I have gone through circumcision surgery 4 days back. My doctor told me that the swelling will reduce gradually but i am having lot of swelling at the bottom of my penis. Its almost covering half of the glans. and is in a very bad shape right now.
Do i need to worry about this or should i wait few more days to see if this reduces? Please suggest...

You are extremely early in the healing process snd significant swelling is to be expected. This could continue for some time so do not worry at this time. See how it is in a month.
The swelling that always occurs after circumcision may continue to increase over the first 2 weeks, but will slowly reduce thereafter, with a significant drop when all the stitches are out and no longer causing trauma.
You need to accept what you have now and wait 203 weeks before getting concerned about swelling or resulting glans coverage. However, if you can, gently ease any overlap off your glans as you change dressings or shower, just to ensure that skin bridges cannot form.
I'm on day 14 and there is still little swelling, just on the left side. I think it's normal, I read this forum through and through and some guys are reporting little swelling up to 2-3 months after the surgery. I took a picture just for myself every morning, and boy if I look 10 days back it was like a jar and I remember being worried aswell, but today looks much much better
Swelling could be a cause of edema... it would be good to consult your doctor and start a 3 day course of ibrufen... its an anti inflammatory/pain killer and will speed up the healing.
