Now it's too earlty to verify how successful the procedure was and give a final statement. Wait up to 20 days till all the stitches will he fallen off and see what the doctor says. Do you have any follow-up appointments with your surgeon?
Post surgical problems vary from guy to guy. Only your doctor or surgeon can tell you that everything is definitely OK or not. Work situations should be as important for recovery as they were for surgery. Take care.
After my frenuloplasty i was able to fully retract the following day (no stitches either), though it was so painful to do i thought I'd pass out! It was about 2 months until i could do it comfortably. I don't remember any swelling though. Vaseline was y best friend!Sounds like you might need it checked by your clinician
A frenuloplasty or frenulectomy may well take 8 weeks or so to fully heal, especially when kept encased in a damp foreskin. After a circumcision, the frenulum area is usually the last to heal so don't expect much difference with just a frenuloplasty.
With my frenuloplasty my surgeon advised me to retract daily for a few minutes to maintain the benefits of the surgery and avoid adhesions - also to wash it daily after 48 hours from surgery. I did the retracting but couldn't bring myself to rinse for about 10 days. The retracting became easier the more I did it. I was also told to use copious amounts of Vaseline on the wound as it would heal quicker and better and scar less in a moist environment. I used Vaseline for about 8 months, until things felt good and supple again. My wounds were closed by week 3. I was able to enjoy gentle intercourse with lube by week 5.If you haven't been given the same advice and think you need to try anything different, give your seegeon's secretary a ring and ask.
Hi, I had frenloplasty 3 days ago. I have been retracting my foreskin back but just over the head of my penis . Should I be retracting it further back , as much as I can ? Obviously it’s early days but I don’t want to open the wound again but don’t want it to heal tight . Help
Although full healing could take at least 8 weeks, you should find you can retract much earlier than that. Just be gentle and don't expect too much too soon.
just had mine done yesterday, how does yours feel after a month? I’ve tried retracting mine whilst erect and it doesn’t go back much further than it used to before but i’m not sure if that’s as i’ve only just had it done. Just really don’t want to have to wait ages for a circumcision had to wait a year and a half for this so wanted to know how other people’s have healed
I have the exact same question! Had mine 4 days ago so early days. I was told to retract the foreskin twice a day and apply Vaseline which I have done although definitely no easier than before and it’s hard to put the foreskin back once retract and is very tight under the tip.. not sure how normal this is but worried my issues will still be there after healing. Waited so long for a frenuloplasty don’t want to wai another year or so for circumsision. A success story would feel me with more confidence
Saw this question and had a bud in the German Army when I was in Germany and he had this procedure. I would take it slow since my bud had sex after about a month and his scar actually did separate, I guess that would mean to split, and he was a mess for over 3 months till he healed up all the way. Oh and his German Urologist was pretty Ped off!!! good luck-S
Frenuloplasty scar
It is necessary to note that since the frenuloplasty is done by making a deep cut to lengthen the frenulum and divide it. This can put an initial scar on the target spot.
During this, after effect period sexual intercourse can bring complications, and immense pain and can cause splitting of the scar. So, it is advised that the patient remains distanced from such activities for at least 6 weeks.
