SWELLING AFTER CIRCUMCISION: 7 WEEKS (INCREASE IN MORNING, DECREASE IN EVENING): please see ALL PHOTOES!!

Hello! I am 27 years and I have underwent Circumcision + Frenuloplasty Surgery 6weeks+5days back (due to tight foreskin & frenulum). It was done using Absorbable Suture Technique (probably Vicryl suture was used). Sutures did not dissolve by its own, so my doctor removed them manually 1 month after the surgery. It has been 15 days since my sutures are removed.

Since right after the surgery itself, I was having this SWELLING (EDEMA) on the lower side of the penis, just before the glans starts (i.e. Ventral side, where the Glans meets the Shaft of the penis). This is also the area from where the suture line used to pass.

This swelling is typically MAXIMUM in the EARLY MORNING when I wake up...and Reduces as the day passes...it is LEAST in the LATE EVENING.

I found that When my penis remains in Straight Vertical position, Swelling Reduces...and when Penis remains bent or hanging, the swelling increases.

Swelling also reduces when I wear Tight underwear & increases in loose underwear / no underwear.

I do NOT have any Pain, Bleeding, Redness, Itching, Allergy, Inflammation or any other problem.

But sometimes due to excessive swelling I get Discomfort in Walking/Activities.

Initially my doctor had told me that the swelling will reduce after 4-5 weeks of surgery, but There is absolutely No change in the swelling (even after suture removal). I am in regular follow up of my doctor and he is still saying that there is nothing to worry - swelling may take time.

I also know that many people take months to recover from swelling....but I am concerned & worried because there is NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT REDUCTION IN SWELLING IN LAST 5-6 WEEKS.

It is really difficult to maintain 'Vertical Position' of penis & 'wearing Tight Underwear' 24x7.

I am worried that such swelling may hamper Sex in future -OR- Swelling becomes Permanent with Bad Look.

[I am applying Virgin Coconut Oil twice per day on the glans & scar line for moisturizing (no benefit in swelling). I was advised a course of Antibiotic, AntiAllergy & AntiInflammatory medications, but nothing changed.]

Did anybody face any similar issue? What to do for it?

I want Advise from All of you... who have got Circumcised / Who are Doctors/Experts..

Does your swelling also increase in morning & decrease in evening?

Might vary with procedures, but swelling in morning ideally would be due to early morning erections. During the day you will have more control over erections

Actually my swelling don't increase with erection at all (in fact it reduces with & after erection!). I think my morning swelling is due to some other reason...but I can't find out.

Hi. I’m in the same place and I had my circumcision in March. It can take up to 2 years to heal 100%. I also still get days we’re I feel uncomfortable, however I’m in a better place than I was before the operation.

Yes slowly reducing. I had a really bad swelling for about 3 months. Then slowly started reducing.

Male circumcision will damage and cut all lymphatic vessels near the incision site. That slow down dramatically the free flow of fluid to through it to lymphatic nodes in your groin. It takes time you body to rebuilt the connections.

Different swelling between day and night can be a result from daily activities and walking. They will increase fluid flow generally. When you are on bed the normal gravity keeps fluid between incision site and glans.

ThankYou very much for the advise...Is there anything I can do for reducing MORNING SWELLING or Swelling in General?

Usually how much time does it take for such lymphatic reconnection? (I know it varies person to person, but looking at my these photos at 7 week, how much more do you think for me?)

I'm concerned that if it takes too long to recover or if there remains some amount of permanent swelling, it might hamper sexual life...or a bad appearance. I'm asking this because I have seen some cases where If Swelling Remained for a Long Time, it Resulted in some sort of Sagging/Stretched Skin tissue even after actual swelling improved.

No one can tell you for sure that. You'll see the final outcome within next two years. You can wrap your penis on to roller bandage for nights to get light pressure on swelling area. It may help.

Is it safe to MASTURBATE now (7 weeks completed)?..Is it safe to have SEX after next 3 weeks (means 10 weeks after surgery)?..

(I don't have any other problem other than swelling. Other details & photoes are mentioned above)

If you are so worried about the swelling, I would do nothing that may exacerbate it. The guys on here can only speak as laymen. We are not doctors.
