So had my op 8 days ago. Early on my dressing fell off and my stitches seemed loose, not sure if was just due to the swelling. But on one side if my penis is not pouting to the ground there is a definite gap which looks like an open wound. The yellow slough has decreased so new tissue will be growing now I hope. But the worrying thing is that around where my frenulum was there were lots of sutures which have disappeared/come loose and off! The skin here seems to point the opposite way to my penis, my surgeon said it’s fine if sutures look like they have come loose as they are deep essentially. And surely if they had come out and weren’t holding anything my penis would just deglove right (the skin would just fall down? (I’ve seen a degloved penis which is why I’m anxious!)

Post circumcision sutures
Hi rob, I’m day 7 post op and I was told to take the dressing off the day after the operation. I started feeling better by day 4 and now I’m in more pain than ever as erections keep hurting the stitches
I’m the same. Started talking g pain killers again cos it’s aching like hell!
I’ve just been told to be patient as long as no sign of infection, but I though it would have felt better rather than worse!
That’s what my urologist said. I’ve contacted another one I’ve worked with for a second opinion. I can’t sit upright in my sofa cos it aches so having to recline....haha I feel like such a drama queen, deserves me right for being unsympathetic when my wife had a c section....
Dont' worry whole penis won't deglow after normal circumcision. It just can heal by secondary intention if there is a gap on incision line.

There is no MUST to keep your penis upright if it feels like stretching too much on incision. It may decrease swelling like I wrote on another answer today, but wound will heal sooner or later anyway.
