It's been 76 hours since the day I got circumcised. The doctor told me to apply a new dressing each time after I pee and to keep the penis wrapped at all times for 7 days. I've been on it and I've been as careful with everything as I could possibly be. However, I feel like I need to rinse myself there. There is some dried blood on the glan and I think part of it got absorbed by the skin at some point but the rest is just disturbingly chilling there. I am scared to hop in the shower but I feel like I have to. When do I know I'm ready for a rinse? How do I rinse safely without it affecting the healing process? How do I get rid of dried blood on my skin? As at this point, all that's going through my mind is "I want to wait the week and then shower, though I feel like I need one now"
What should I do?

My surgeon had me removed the gauze and day 3 which is when I was allowed to start showering. After showering I used a blow dryer on low heat to dry my circumcised area since it was still quite sensitive to touch! I showered once or twice a day after day 3.
Do you mind me asking for some tips and tricks on how to wash the area safely? As in, I'm guessing trying to rub off any substance from penis is a no-no and I should just try and rinse it, right?
Also, random Q but how long did it take you to recover/feel recovered?
Also, thanks for the hair dryer idea. I will definitely apply it 👍🏻😁
As you know that area is very sensitive to touch at this time. So, I just let the water run down and tried to gently rinsed the area. Wasn’t the best but I was at least able to remove all the dry blood. Definitely NO rubbing for me!
As you probably already heard, some heal faster than others. I felt recovered at about 2 months. That was the time when I was able to run, lift, jack off and not feel any discomfort, and even have sex!

And okay, here come more questions hurling your way, haha - How long did it take for your swelling to disappear and by which day did you notice it reducing? Was there anything you did to speed up the healing process? Did you apply any creams, or ointments? Or did you just do what the surgeon said and then just let it dry and heal on its own?
Also, the forever asked question; what's sex and BJ's like after that? I know it ends up being different for everyone, but what was it like for you the very first time post recovery? Also, is it more easy, or more difficult to don a condom? And in regards to the scar line, is it very prominent/does it look weird post recovery; and is it sensitive to touch like some people say it is for them? And last Q, like, obviously before the surgery, the smegma and the closed foreskin kept the inside of the penis moisturised at all times, but after being circumcised and recovered now, do you feel the need to apply some sort of a moisture down there? Like, how much different is it to take care of a circumcised penis to an uncircumcised one?
My dressing fell off at day two and was given no advice on replacing. From then on I used non stick dressing, which just acted as a padding.
I also took short salt baths from then, moving onto showers later. The jet from the shower, a little at a time helps you become accustomed to touch. Pat or air dry, no rubbing !
