Do i have phimosis?

Hi there my foreskin is only tight when erect is painful to retract my foreskin all the way. When flaccid its fine but foreskin stays all the back and doesn't go over by it self. I also have long foreskin and my foreskin still covers my penis when fully erect. It's been like it for years.

Can you retract when soft with no pain exposing the glans fully. You do need to book in with your GP to try a steroid cream and use stretching techniques while using the cream to help stretch your opening so you can retract when erect without pain. Do not force it back if pain occurs take it easy and take time to slowly stretch your skin. Don’t rush and don’t get inpatient you’ve got this mate. Are you able to keep under your foreskin nice and clean?

Frenulum is designed to naturally pull your foreskin back over your glans. I do recommend contacting your GP in the morning try and get yourself an appointment to get examined and prescribed a steroid cream. After 4 weeks If not much change they can up the dosage of the steroid cream but it can take different lengths of time to stretch the foreskin.

All the best on your journey. Any questions you may have drop me a message and I’ll see if I can answer them. Any medical questions though or medical concerns speak to a GP or another professional.

So it gets stuck behind your glans when soft but hurts when you try to retract when hard it defo sounds like you just need to stretch your foreskin very slightly. Steroid cream and determination on stretching with the cream should solve your problem hopefully.

In a teen or adult, phimosis exists if the foreskin is too tight to be fully, freely and painlessly retracted over the rim of the glans, whether when flaccid or erect. A related condition called frenulum breve can also prevent full retraction.

You might be able to widen the opening at the tip of the foreskin by stretching with a prescribed steroid cream, but it can take many months to achieve.

You should see your GP about your problem as soon as possible so that appropriate treatment can be started.

I would also suggest stretching and make sure you go slow. If stressed to much it can tear. They also sell stretching kits once your opening is big enough. They are little silicon rings that you can place inside your foreskin to help you stretch. They worked pretty well for me at one point
