Hi, I got my circumcision done 12-13 days ago and am wondering if overtime there is a loss in sensitivity due to keratinization. And if there is a loss in sensitivity how can I prevent this from happening. And I don’t want anyone commenting that I shouldn’t have gotten circumcised, it was my choice.

Why did you choose to be circumcised?
Hi Man, it's normal to lose some sensitivity it has to happen to desensitise your glans to friction. A little moisturiser everyday will help to stop you from drying out too much. I've been circumcised 7 years and I don't find it any less sensitive now then it was the first year. Sometimes circumcision needs to be done for medical reasons as in your case everyone should have the freedom of choice.
There's 2 different types of sensitivity: the one for pleasure, and the hyper-sensitivity of your penis due to it in the process of being keratinized. I'm 2 months post op, and my pleasure sensitivity isn't too drastically affected, but what's bugging me is the corona of my penis and the inner foreskin that's exposed, is still quite sensitive to touch. When I shower, I can't even grab it with a closed fist to clean it, and if I rub it a certain way, it sort of stings. How is that for you?
Thank you for replying. I’m glad you still have sensitivity but it sucks that it still hurts to touch. I am 17 days post op so I still have stitches and it hurts to grab but when I touch anywhere else on my penis besides the stitches it doesn’t hurt at all. I can’t grab mine with a closed fist yet because of the stitches. I was also wondering how long it took for your stitches to fall out after your circumcision?
